The grade 4 national testing: practise at home
Make your child a profile
The parent account and the child's profile are free; the child needs no email. AI-made papers are paid in credits, which you buy; you see the exact cost before each one.
In short
The grade 4 national testing closes primary school in Moldova. Every grade 4 pupil takes part, whatever their school record; in the 2026 session the tests were mathematics and the language of instruction, plus Romanian in schools that teach in another language and the mother tongue for those who study it. On EduRol a parent makes the child a free profile, with no email, and opens it on their own device; there the child sits 60-minute simulations in mathematics, Romanian or Russian, made by AI with a marking scheme. The simulations are unofficial examples, for practice only; they are not official MEC papers.
What the national testing is
The final assessment of primary school is done through the national testing, under a methodology approved by the Ministry. Every grade 4 pupil may sit it, whatever their school record, and taking part is compulsory. In 2026 the Ministry said the testing result counts as an ordinary current assessment.
In the 2026 session the testing ran in May (12, 14, 19 and 21 May), with tests in mathematics and the language of instruction — Romanian or Russian language and literature. Pupils in schools that teach in another language also wrote Romanian, with an oral part, and those who study Bulgarian, Gagauz or Ukrainian also wrote their mother tongue. The next session's timetable is approved by the Ministry and published by ANCE.
ANCE publishes practice tests and the papers of past sessions on its website.
The simulations are unofficial examples
EduRol's simulations are made by EduRol from the exam programmes and the exams' public structure. They are unofficial examples, for practice only; they are not official MEC papers: they do not come from Moldova's Ministry of Education and Research or from ANCE and are not endorsed by them. The official papers of past sessions, with their marking schemes, and practice tests are on ANCE's website.
How to practise on EduRol
You make the child's profile
Make a free parent account and, with no code needed, press "Continue without a code"; then on "My children" press "Add a young child (grades I–IV)". The child needs no email: the profile opens on your phone or computer.
Short papers on the grade 4 topics
The testing simulation lasts 60 minutes, with items like the real ones, on the curriculum's topics. You can also start with a unit test on the current unit.
Marking with explanations
The child sees what went wrong and how to do it right; mistakes go into the notebook to come back to.
You see the progress
The topic map shows what the child has mastered and what is still to work on — compared only with the child themselves.
What you can do on EduRol
New papers, made by AI on your topicsPick the grade, subject, kind of paper and the curriculum topics, or type your own. One AI model writes the paper with its marking scheme, a second one from another family re-solves every item with a single right answer, and a third reviews it. If they disagree on the key, you get no paper and pay nothing.
Marked against the schemeMultiple-choice and numeric answers are marked by the program, at once and for free. Written answers are marked by AI against the scheme. Disagree with an item? Contest it: a stronger model re-marks it and never lowers your mark.
A notebook of mistakesEvery item you get wrong goes into the notebook, with the right answer and how to get there, so you can come back to it until you know it.
A map of the curriculum's topicsEvery answer colours the topics: mastered, in progress, needs work. Topics come back for review after 7, 21 and 60 days, and quick practice on already-checked items is free. You are compared only with yourself.
A parent sees it allA linked parent sees the same topic map and the solved papers, tops up credits, sets a monthly limit and gets an email about the child's week.

What it costs
- The library tests are free, with no account and no limit.
- A pupil account is free and comes with 450 credits — enough for a first AI-made paper of any kind, an exam simulation included.
- A new unit test usually costs about 120 credits; 10 credits = 1 MDL. You see the exact cost before you start and pay only for what the AI actually did.
- Multiple-choice and numeric answers, hints and quick practice use no credits; marking written answers usually costs a few credits.
- A pupil never pays: more credits are bought by a parent, from 100 MDL, from a link the child sends — no parent account needed.
Questions
- Which tests does the grade 4 testing have?
- In the 2026 session: mathematics and the language of instruction (Romanian or Russian language and literature); in schools that teach in another language, also Romanian, with an oral part; for pupils who study Bulgarian, Gagauz or Ukrainian, also the mother tongue. Each session's timetable is approved by the Ministry and published by ANCE.
- Is it an exam? Does it decide moving up to grade 5?
- It is not an exam but a testing that every grade 4 pupil takes part in, compulsorily, whatever their school record. In 2026 the Ministry said the result counts as an ordinary current assessment.
- How does a child practise on EduRol?
- A parent makes a free account and, on "My children", a profile for the child, with no email. On that profile, opened on the parent's phone or computer, the child sits 60-minute simulations in mathematics, Romanian or Russian, made by AI and marked against the scheme. The simulations are unofficial examples, for practice only; they are not official MEC papers.
- What does it cost?
- The parent account and the child's profile are free. AI-made papers are paid in credits that the parent buys, from 100 MDL (10 credits = 1 MDL); each paper's exact cost shows before it starts.
